Principal Stephen Salva

Mr. Salva has over twenty years of experience with LAUSD. He has worked in different capacities and in each of the local District areas before coming to join the Cheremoya family. He has been an elementary teacher, secondary school counselor, middle school assistant principal and teacher training instructor.  In addition, Mr. Salva is a past president of the California Association of School Counselors, a former member of the Student Mental Health Policy Workgroup and Stigma Discrimination Reduction consortium in Sacramento and an adjunct instructor in the school counseling department at Phillips Graduate University. With a BA in Speech Communication and Theater,  his interests include the architecture of Frank Lloyd Wright, mid-century modern homes and supporting theater and the arts. A true student advocate, he is thrilled to be at Cheremoya where the focus is on developing the whole child through active community and family involvement as well as the arts.
