2017-2018 Enrollment Information

The first day of the 2017 - 2018 school year will be Tuesday, August 15th.

The minimum age for Kindergarten and First grade have been changed for the 2017-2018 school year. Students entering Kindergarten should be age 5 by September 1, 2017 and students entering First grade should be age 6 by September 1, 2017.


Enrollment for the 2017 - 2018 school year has begun.

Our office will accept enrollment materials until we close to the public for summer break on June 27th and again when we reopen on July 20th.

If Cheremoya is your home-school, you can apply NOW for the school year. All forms are available right here, but you still have to check in at the school's office to complete the process. 


• Parent Forms/Enrollment Packet - convenient downloadable file [ENROLLMENT] Contents: (12) PDF files. This download contains every form needed to enroll your child. Most of the enclosed PDFs can be filled out either in your browser, using Preview, or Acrobat, and then printed out for signature, etc. Online LAUSD ENROLLMENT FORM which can be filled out online, other forms must still be completed.


Applications for enrollment are available online or in the school's office. New residents who reside within our attendance area may enroll at any time during the school year but are encouraged to get your forms in early.  Applications must be turned to the school's office.  Applications will be processed and accepted once all of the requirements are completed.

Enrollment for residents is a two step process.

Step 1: Verification of Residence - Bring the following to our office:

Step 2: Enrollment - Once we have verified your residence, please return with the following for each child:

For All Students

  • Original Birth Certificate or Passport
  • Current Record of Immunizations
  • LAUSD Enrollment Form
  • Quick Health Questionnaire
  • Student Emergency Information Form
  • Oral Health Assessment Form
  • Permanent Health History Form

For Kindergartners and Those New to LAUSD

  • Examination By Private Physician Form

For Those to Whom it Applies

  • Student Residency Questionnaire 
  • Family Work Questionnaire


Non Residents
From time to time we grant permits to LAUSD students living outside our attendance area.
To apply, complete the LAUSD Intra-District Permit Application and submit it to the school office.  

If a permit is granted, complete Step 2 above and also bring:

  • Gas or Electric Bill
  • Lease or Mortgage Papers
  • Driver's License

While it's our intention to see all our students graduate from Cheremoya, please be informed that:

  • Permit renewals must be submitted annually and are not guaranteed.
  • Permits may be revoked for a variety of reasons including chronic tardiness/absence and behavior.
