Informational Resources

Our Parent Center offers many informational resources for our parents and community. A-G graduation requirements, community resources, volunteer opportunities and parent workshop information are all available daily.

Parent Center

Awarded a District upgrade grant in 2016, our Parent Center has chromebooks, workshops and volunteer opportunities for parents. Located in the main hallway, it is the social hub of campus.

Ana Gonzalez considers herself a patient person who likes working with others. She enjoys hiking with her family, traveling and cooking. Ana graduated from Venice High School and completed a child development course at Children's Institute International. She has 2 daughters who have attended Cheremoya. She started as a parent volunteer and then became part of the staff as parent/community rep. Ana has enjoyed providing parent resources and support for families and parents for 11 years now!

Mona A. Mosleh moved to the US in 2002. She worked at the American University of Beirut, Faculty of Medicine for 11 years. Currently, she is majoring in Business Administration at Los Angeles City College. Mona is the mother of two kids. Her daughter attends Cheremoya and her son is in the high ability magnet at Marshall High School. Mona enjoys spending time with her kids, hiking, tennis and travel. She began sharing parent rep responsibilities with Ana this school year (2016).

Advisory Committees

Our English Language Learner Advisory Committee (ELAC), as well as our School Site Council (SSC) meet monthly to review federal and state programs, make recommendations and assist with developing our programs. Each group is composed of community members and staff with its own officers and by-laws. All interested parents are invited to participate.

Our parent center representatives can assist you with the LAUSD application to become a volunteer and match you up with opportunities to give back to our school and community. Please stop by the Parent Center any day between 8:00- 3:00 to get information.

Classes & Workshops

Call the Main Office or look for newsletters and/or phone messages regarding upcoming classes and workshops.

Kid Watch L.A.

Our school is committed to your child's safety. We have adopted the Safety Valet Program in order to relieve congestion and increase the safety of your child when he/she is dropped off and picked up from school. This program is run in the morning by our Parent Representative with assistance of our parent volunteers.

We always need volunteers!
